- August 01, 2003 - Lancaster Brewing Wins State College Best of Show
- Lancaster Milk Stout was the big winner when all the "People's Choice" votes were tallied after last weekend's State College MicroBrewers & Importers Exposition.
Lancaster Brewing Company's signature brew was voted Best of Show and won the Gold Medal in the Specialty Beer category. Adding to the brewery's medal stash, Lancaster Strawberry Wheat finished second among the Specialties.
Victory Hop Devil IPA was the Gold Medal-winning Ale and Appalachian Mountain Lager won the Gold in its category.
Selin's Grove IPA and Weyerbacher Old Heathen Imperial Stout were the Silver and Bronze medal winners in the Best of Show voting. Red Seal Ale won the Silver for Ales, with Unibroue Ephemere taking the bronze. The Unibroue ale also took the Bronze for Specialty beers. In the Lager category voting, Penn Dark won the Silver and Czechvar the Bronze.
