March 30, 2012 - Weyerbacher's Merry Monk's Ale, Victory Brewing, Monk's Cafe Are Philly's Drinker's Choice Winners
Weyerbacher Brewing Company's Merry Monk['s Ale., a Belgian style Tripel, was named Philadelphia's Best Beer in the 2012 Drinker's Choice Awards voting. Victory Brewing Co.'s Headwaters Pale Ale took second place and Flying Fish Brewing Co.'s Exit 4 was third.

Victory Brewing was selected as the top brewpub, with Nodding Head Brewery & Restaurant second and the Yards Brewing Co.' s Tasting Room third.

Monk's Cafe was voted the Best Beer Bar, with The Farmers' Cabinet second and Khyber Pass Pub third.

The voting was conducted by the Drink Philly website.--JACK CURTIN
